Travis Swanson appears to suffer setback in return from brain injury

Football coaches need to learn more about brain injury, and do their best to #ConquerABI

It seems Travis Swanson has suffered another setback.

The Detroit Lions center is battling a brain injury to conclude a second straight season. He’s already missed two games because of it this time, and sat out practice on Thursday after participating Wednesday.

Swanson suffered the injury in a Week 14 win against Tampa Bay. He played every snap in that game, before later reporting symptoms. He’s one of three offensive linemen to finish games with a brain injury this season, joining T.J. Lang and Don Barclay.

Coach Jim Caldwell said he’s not worried about so many players finishing games with concussions.
