Seaweed’s good, but a breakthrough for healing from a brain injury?

I know that seaweed’s good, to eat and several other things, but I’d have never thought that it would be instrumental in a breakthrough for brain injury healing.  But, that’s what Dr Richard Williams from RMIT University says.  Specifically, he says “When the brain gets injured, it doesn’t heal itself, it locks itself away, locks the damaged portion away, so it’s almost as if you’ve got a room in your house that’s too trashed and you can’t be bothered to clean it up, so you just lock the door and pretend it’s not there.”
